Journal of Communicative English

The Journal of Communicative English (TJOCE) invites original, high-quality manuscripts for publication in its forthcoming issue.

TJOCE is an online, peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Department of English Language Education, Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi, Nigeria. The journal provides a scholarly platform for research in English language and English language education, with particular emphasis on the development of communicative competence among learners and users of English.

The journal welcomes theoretically grounded, empirically based, and pedagogically significant studies that advance knowledge and practice in the teaching, learning, assessment, and use of English, particularly within educational and other communicative contexts.

Submission and Publication

Manuscripts are accepted throughout the year. The journal publishes four issues annually in:

March | June | September | December

Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts that have not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal.

All manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer-review process before publication. Accepted articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) and are published through the journal's Open Access platform to facilitate wider scholarly visibility and accessibility.
