CALL FOR PAPERS
BU Insight: Journal of Religious Studies invites original scholarly manuscripts for consideration for publication in its forthcoming issue. The journal provides an academic forum for sustained and critical engagement with religion, religious texts, theological traditions, religious practices, institutions, and the relationship between religion and contemporary social and cultural life.
The journal welcomes contributions from scholars and researchers in Africa and other parts of the world whose work makes a substantive contribution to the academic study of religion. Insight is particularly interested in scholarship that engages critically with religious thought and practice within African contexts while also contributing to broader international debates in religious studies, biblical studies, theology, and related disciplines.
The journal encourages theoretically informed, methodologically rigorous, and clearly argued research that advances existing knowledge, challenges established interpretations, develops new perspectives, or provides significant empirical, textual, historical, or conceptual insights.

All submissions should demonstrate a clear research problem or scholarly question, engagement with relevant literature, appropriate methodology or analytical framework, coherent argumentation, and a clearly stated contribution to existing scholarship.
EDITORIAL AND PEER-REVIEW PROCESS
All manuscripts will undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal and compliance with the journal's academic and ethical requirements. Manuscripts that meet the initial criteria will proceed to peer review.
Publication decisions will take into consideration the originality of the research, theoretical engagement, methodological rigor, quality of analysis, clarity of argument, scholarly relevance, and contribution to knowledge.
Authors are expected to observe established principles of academic integrity, responsible authorship, ethical research practice, accurate citation, and appropriate acknowledgement of sources.
