Digital communication has emerged as a transformative force reshaping how sustainability and social impact initiatives are conceived, communicated, and implemented across Nigeria's evolving economic landscape. This conceptual review examines the intersecting roles of digital communication, sustainability, and social impact in reimagining Nigeria's economic future, arguing that digital platforms now function as critical infrastructure for mobilising public awareness, driving behavioural change, and coordinating collective action around pressing developmental challenges. The paper explores how digital communication facilitates sustainable practices across key sectors, including agriculture, energy, and small enterprise development, while simultaneously enabling grassroots social impact movements that leverage social media's reach and immediacy to mobilise resources and public attention. Drawing on perspectives from development communication, digital media studies, and sustainability scholarship, the review interrogates the mechanisms through which digital tools translate communicative reach into measurable social and economic outcomes. It further considers the structural constraints, including infrastructural gaps, digital literacy disparities, and regulatory limitations, that continue to shape the effectiveness of digital communication as a driver of sustainable development. The paper concludes that harnessing digital communication's full potential for sustainable social impact requires deliberate strategic alignment between technology, policy, and community-centred communication practices, positioning digital communication not merely as a promotional tool but as a foundational pillar of Nigeria's inclusive economic transformation.
